Our Story

The Caimito Fruits brand was born from conversations between the leading growers of Pineapple in Panama who were looking for a way to become more competitive and work together to achieve an improved international market presence. The idea was to create an alliance of growers that could export together under one premium brand, Caimito Fruits.

 

 

The word “Caimito”, is the name given to a large river that crosses the fertile plains of this area of the country. The Spanish conquistadores in 1510 gave the area this name because of the importance of this river to colonization of the areas to north west of city of Panama.
